HOMEWORK
READING
Steps for CPQ:
1. Read the title and look at pictures (if any)
2. Read a few sentences from a paragraph
3. Generate 2-3 questions about the text that you wonder or would like to find out, and predict what type of text you are reading (nonfiction/fiction).
4. Chunk the text
5. Write a main idea statement for each paragraph that you chunk.
Write a sentence starter for each sentence that you chunk and prove it with text evidence.
Homework: Read your library book every night for at least 30 min. 2 book reviews ( reflection/summary) are due every Friday for both books that have been read.
WRITING:
If a writing assignment is not completed in class, students will take it home for homework and return the next day.
